The Roof Replacement Process

Most full roof replacements take 1–3 days of actual work, but the process from first call to final inspection typically runs a few weeks. Here’s exactly what to expect:

  1. Inspection & written estimate (Day 1) We come out, climb the roof, measure everything, and walk you through the options. Within 48 hours you have a written estimate covering materials, labor, and timeline.
  2. Material selection (Week 1) You choose shingle color, accent details, and any upgrades (ridge venting, ice/water shield, etc.). We bring samples to your home so you can see them against your siding.
  3. Scheduling & permitting (Week 2) We pull required permits, schedule the crew, order materials, and confirm a start date with weather built in.
  4. Tear-off & deck inspection (Day of install, AM) Old roof comes off. We inspect the decking and call you immediately if there’s rot or damage requiring repair before the new roof goes on.
  5. Installation (Day of install, PM — Day 3 max) Underlayment, ice & water shield, drip edge, shingles, ridge vents, flashing. We work to manufacturer specs so the warranty stays valid.
  6. Cleanup & final inspection (Last day) Magnetic sweep of the yard for nails, debris removal, final walk-through with you on site. You sign off only when you’re satisfied.
