10 Signs Your Roof Needs Attention

Most roofs don’t fail dramatically; they fail slowly, with warning signs you can spot from the ground. If you see any of these, it’s time for an inspection — not necessarily a replacement, but a closer look:

Granules in the gutters. Your shingles are shedding their UV protection. Some loss is normal in the first months after install, but ongoing loss is a clear warning sign.

Curling, cupping, or buckling shingles. The shingle’s asphalt mat has reached the end of its flexibility. Once shingles curl, they catch wind and tear off easily.

Missing shingles. Even one or two is a problem. Underlayment isn’t designed to be the primary water barrier — once shingles are gone, you’re on borrowed time.
